Hello Kitty (a tribute to Audrey Hepburn) is a large digital art composition of a true 12K (71 MP) size and the next image in the HyperPixel format to be released on ArtStation. Qualified as a HyperPixel, the image has an ultra high resolution while featuring beautiful fine detail as a result of progressive upscaling, enhancement and meticulous manual inpainting using state of the art tools of the Stable Diffusion technology. The product images include 3 ‘pixel morsels’, stylishly cut out fragments of the master image meant to show the texture and intricate detail of this creation at 1:1 scale.
what it is for
The main image does not have any other utility than to be enjoyed as a modern digital art piece. It is not intended to be used as a screen wallpaper (although you could use it that way if you like), or a reference, or an illustration. It is to be used more or less like large paintings of old masters were used: to be viewed at a distance, then studied up close in detail, marveling at the beauty of the fine detail and the brushstrokes - only the canvas is now your gorgeous LED screen, with brushstrokes composed of self-illuminating pixel patterns.
description
The artwork, rendered in high contrast black and white illustration type, is dominated by a fractal pattern consisting of thick horizontal wavy lines that connect at the middle of the left edge of the picture. In-between and around the fractal lines various mini-scenes are arranged, mostly involving two characters, a young attractive female and a handsome male of a somewhat older age. The female character’s appearance, notably her face and the dress style, is reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn of the 1950s period, while the male one’s is, vaguely, of Gregory Peck. Judging by the interior features such as neon ads on the wall and tables with drinks on them, the scenes are taking place in a bar. As indicated by the characters’ facial expressions, the mood of scenes varies from a romantic conversation to a tristful mutual or solitary silence hinting at a relationship complication.
Among the most striking features of the picture is the white neon line art style the characters and objects are drawn in: glowing with a gentle halo yet, upon a closer look, very precisely traced. Across the picture, there are multiple writings in that same neon style, incorporated in fractal-patterned lines and worded as if taken from a vintage poster announcing an upcoming premiere of a movie called “Hello Kitty”. Multiple instances of a sad kitten drawn in white neon lines can be seen in various corners of the picture as well. While composed and rendered in a modern and rather unusual way, the picture manages to convey an atmosphere of an old-fashioned romantic movie, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience.
inspiration source and brief history; the CanvasInfusion style
The presented artwork is the result of my experimentation, still ongoing as of the moment of writing, with AI-assisted infusion of various characters, creatures and objects into a previously computer-generated image (in this case, one of my black and white fractals generated decades ago). This is the technique that I have used for making quite a few high resolution images by now, spawning thus a whole new style which I call CanvasInfusion. The artistic content of the image draws on my longtime fascination with making and using fractal images as a source material, something that I have been busy with since the mid 1990s, as well as my admiration for Audrey Hepburn. The initial (‘infused’) version was rendered in June 2025; a few months later, it was then substantially upscaled and enhanced via extensive inpainting, with the goal to elevate it to the HyperPixel standard and publish as a digital art product.
image format and preview options
The main image is of the 11520x6480 (12K UHD) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio (making it an ideal fit for an Ultra HD screen), served in the lossless PNG format, for the uncompromised quality. A preview version is also available in the Encore Art AI portfolio feed.
